Minnesota is building out their commuter train from Minneapolis/St. Paul to St. Cloud. If we want to look out farther, we should encourage partnering with Minnesota to extend the train to Fargo/Moorhead. That would cement the Minneapolis/St. Paul connection and give people options for travel besides expensive flying and sometimes-dangerous driving. The New Mexico Rail Runner has wireless internet, so it is better for working while one commutes (not to mention the chance to either read or nap). We could use this for daytrips to Minneapolis, and even to get to intermodal transportation to the lakes.
